Well here seems to be your chance to do just that, by just sending them a message, courtesy Indian research students Indrajeet Bhuyan and Saurav Kar, reports Hacker News.According to the report, a simple message with 2000 characters which is about 2KB worth of data is required to remotely crash WhatsApp on another phone.The torture doesn’t end there as after the initial crash if you attempt to go back in to the message thread, it immediately causes a force close and the only way out would be to delete the message thread entirely.This torture tool will also effectively delete all archived messages between the prankster and the victim.In a group setting, affected individuals will have to individually delete themselves from the group, says the report.The students who came up with this master idea have tested it on Whatsapp versions 2.11.431 and 2.11. 432 and is known to affect Android 4.4 KitKat, adds the report. Fortunately Windows Phone users are safe from this exploit and it has not been tested on iOS platforms.Here is a video to prove the worthiness of the attack
