The News Minute | September 16, 2014 | 05:05 pm IST An operation was recently performed on a ten-year-old goldfish in Australia, to remove a large tumour on its head. George the goldfish's owners are said to be 'quite attached' to the fish, states a report by The Telegraph. The operation, which was conducted in the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in Melbourne, took around 45-minute minutes and cost £110. The report states that the owners were given the option to either operate or put George to sleep. They chose the former. The Telegraph quotes the vet Dr Tristan Rich as saying, "The fish was having trouble eating, getting around and he was getting bullied by other fish".
