Director Aashiq Abu offers Rs 500 to KM Mani who is 'poor' and forced to take bribes

 The News Minute | January 20, 2015 | 4.20 pm ISTRenowned film director Aashiq Abu’s Facebook post on the Kerala liquour bar bribe issue is going viral on social media.In his sardonic post, Abu has offered Rs. 500 to Finance Minister K.M Mani who has been alleged to have taken a bribe from the bar owners of the state.The post has also satirically asks the public to go for a crowd funding since the minister is financially poor and struggling to make ends meet.“Since our sir (K.M Mani, usually called as Mani sir) is in a financial crisis and struggling to make ends meet we should cooperatively collect some more crores for him. As of my share I am offering Rs. 500” he says in the post.The post has gone viral after the release of audio clipping, in which two senior political leaders admits that K.M Mani had taken bribe from different business groups. The audio had been released by liquor bar scam whistle blower Biju Ramesh on Monday.In one of the clippings Balakrishna Pillai, senior Kerala Congress leader, admitted that Mani had taken around 22 crores as bribe from different business groups.Tweet
