Controlling someone else with just your thoughts now possible?

The News Minute | November 8, 2014 | 5:10 pm ISTWhat if our brains could communicate directly with each other, eliminating the need for language? Scientists in the University of Washington have done just that.Researchers have successfully linked the brains of six people, allowing one person to control the hands of another using just their thoughts. This is the second time such a test has been conducted successfully. According to a report in Science Alert, Researchers were able to transmit the signals from one person's brain over the Internet and use these signals to control the hand motions of another person within a split second of sending that signal. The 6 people who were split into pairs were placed in separate buildings roughly 800 metres apart, and they were unable to interact with each other in any way other than via their thoughts. They hope that the project could also eventually lead to "brain tutoring," in which knowledge is transferred directly from the brain of a teacher to a student. They're also exploring how to influence brain waves that correspond with alertness or sleepiness.
