Director S S Rajamouli's epic film 'Bahubaali: The Beginning' is all set to go to China as the country’s E Stars Films has acquired mainland China rights to the movie.

According to a report in Variety, a deal was struck with Arka Mediaworks Intl, which is headed by former EuropaCorp executive Francois da Silva, and E Stars Films.

E Stars, had also launched Aamir Khan's “PK” in China, and expects to release “Baahubali” in November this year in around 5,000 screens around the country.

“’Baahubali’ has achieved so many things and acquired such a special position in Indian cinema that we are in the fortunate position of being able to negotiate with the top distributors in territories around the world,” da Silva told Variety, while adding that they were confident of major deals in other countries as well.

The international cut is said to be 20 minutes shorter than the version which was released in India and for the overseas diaspora in July.

Baahubali is about two brothers at war for an ancient kingdom. Also starring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles, it is one of the highly successful dubbed films.

The film saw simultaneous release on July 10 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. It has so far grossed collections more than Rs.600 crore in all four versions.

A sequel of the movie is also in the works.
