AR Rahman to compose for nephew GV Prakash’s upcoming film?

Written by : TNM

Tinseltown is abuzz with rumours that Oscar winning music director AR Rahman might compose tunes for his nephew GV Prakash’s upcoming film.

Reportedly, director-cinematographer Rajiv Menon is gearing up to direct his third film in Tamil after a decade and half and has roped in GV Prakash, touted to be one of the most successful stars in recent times, to play the lead.

Menon, who shares a great rapport with Rahman, is expected to sign him up to compose tunes for the movie, say sources.

If this happens, it would be the first time AR Rahman would be composing tunes for a GV Prakash starrer. Interestingly, GV Prakash’s singing debut in the film industry was for an AR Rahman score in the Shankar directorial, Gentleman.

GV Prakash is one of the busiest actors in Kollywood right now with films such as Enakku Innoru Per Irukku, Ketta Payanda Indha Karthi and Kadavul Irukkuran Kumaru in his kitty.

Interestingly, he is also the music composer for the Vijay starrer Theri, which is due for release on March 20th, 2016.
