Written by : TNM

The News Minute | October 6, 2014 | 06:41 pm IST Flipkart 'big billion sale' has been making news since it began at 8 am on Monday morning. Some got their hands on the great deals up for sale, while many complained that prices had been hiked on products and then a discount was offered on the same.Flipkart even crashed for a while due to surge in traffic. However, Flipkart has some stiff competition from other e-commerce websites like Snapdeal and Amazon, who too made sure that their presence was felt to customers. But someone else came up with a particularly interesting concept. They created the link www.bigbillionday.com, which is the name of Flipkart's campaign. When clicked on, the link directs one to Amazon's India website! But later, it was directed to a blog spot run by the 'Frustrated Guy'.Also read: As #Flipkartsale became butt of jokes on social mediaSnapdeal, also took a dig at Flipkart and the marketing the latter had done to promote the sale. This is the ad Snapdeal ran on Monday in the Bangalore edition of  The Times of India.
