After 35 flops this year, two Malayalam films finally show some promise

The News Minute | March 28, 2015 | 9.00 am ISTAll thirty-five Malayalam movies released in last three months sank without a trace; the Malayalam film industry has reported an average loss of Rs 67 crore.But two movies released on Friday show a different trend comparing to the other 35 released this year.Sathyan Anthikad directed Ennum Eppozhum, starring Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, and Vineeth Sreenivasan scripted Oru Vadakkan Selfie, which stars Nivin Pauly, has been getting good ratings after its first three shows.Anthikad, known to be a family entertainer, has brought the hit pair Mohanlal and Manju together in Ennum Eppozhum, which seems to be working the film's favour.Oru Vadakkan Selfie is from the makers of the hit movie Thattathin Marayath.
