The Theri audio launch event was a grand success as expected. The audio was launched on Sunday, March 20th at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai with actor Vijay delivering a highly entertaining and inspiring speech.

The Ilayathalapathy told his fans that success is not in reaching the target set by others but in creating one’s own target so that others could strive to achieve it.

On the film’s music director GV Prakash, Vijay said that in most films the music director could easily be termed as the hero but in Theri a hero has scored the music.

Paired up with two leading ladies in Theri – Samantha and Amy Jackson – Vijay referred to the former as ‘selfie pulla’ and to the latter as ‘kulfi pulla’.

Vijay also thanked his co-stars Radhika Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Mottai Rajendran and baby Nainika apart from others and all the technicians.

Praising director Atlee for coming up with Theri, the star said that after a soft romance like Raja Rani, his ‘veri’, meaning passion, was to make an action entertainer like Theri and he has achieved it.

Revealing a bit about his role in Theri, Vijay said that he plays a cop and this is one policeman even the accused are going to like!

And finally, the star ended his speech with the punchline: “Bore adicha Mannicudunga, Moolaila Edhavadhu Spark Adicha Yethukonga,” which translates to “If you are getting bored, then I am sorry but if this gives a spark in your brain, then accept it.”
