With the festive season just a few days away, the home-based entertainment segment is bound to see some brisk activity. Sony is definitely one of the leading players in the Indian market with a large range of products in different segments. The product being discussed here is Sony’s latest Home Audio System, MHC-V90DW.

With regard to the physical features, the Sony MHC-V90DW has a tower that stands 1.7meters tall. The cabinet can be moved with the help of the wheels and to hold the tower while shifting, a handle bar has also been provided. The tower cabinet is of the open-back type. The speaker system can produce 2000Watts of output power.

The highlight of the Sony MHC-V90DW is the gesture control feature. Users can control some of the functions on the system through the waving of their hands. Speaker volume can be increased/decreased and even the soundtracks changed with this feature. Even the shaking of your smartphone holding it in your hand can be used to make alterations to the functions on this speaker console.

Other interesting features include the Karaoke system and one which allows you to plug in your guitar and enjoy the enhanced sound output.

The display panel is backlit and responds to touch. The speakers are in different colors and the woofer lights add to the device’s usefulness while playing the music in parties.

From the software compatibility perspective, the Sony MHC-V90DW, Chromecast and Spotify are supported and the users can draw from the Sony Music Center app on their smartphones and other devices to play and control on the Sony MHC-V90DW. While there is a HDMI port available, the connectivity options include Bluetooth and Near Field communication (NFC). There is a FM Radio also integrated into the system.

This Sony MHC-V90DW home speaker tower goes on sale in India from September 21 through Sony’s own brand retail stores, Sony Centers and other authorized outlets.
