Oppo launches 6.3-inch ‘Realme 3 Pro’ in India with 6GB RAM, 4045mAh battery

Oppo is offering some serious challenge to Xiaomi with its sub-brand Realme. In a launch today for the Indian market, the company has introduced a new phone, the Realme 3 Pro. This is just a few weeks after the Realme 3 was released. The Realme 3 Pro, however, is more a successor to the Realme 2 Pro. Oppo has been going aggressive, positioning this new phone directly against the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The company has been issuing comparisons in public with Xiaomi’s phone and claiming its Realme 3 Pro is superior. But the first the specifications of the new phone.

The Realme 3 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch full HD+ LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen gets protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There is a notch on the screen to house the front camera. The processor fitted on this device is the octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710SoC. The RAM support to this comes in two variants, 4GB and 6GB. In terms of the internal storage buyers can choose between 64GB and 128GB with the provision for a micro SD card to take it up to 256GB. Oppo has enabled the Realme 3 Pro with the capability to run Fortnite Mobile and PUBG giving the phone a slight edge over the Xiaomi model and is being touted as the USP while pushing the Realme 3 Pro to the youth.

Coming to the optics, the dual camera setup in the rear features a 12MP primary sensor a Sony IMX519 plus a 5MP sensor and the front camera for selfies is a huge 25MP shooter. Both the rear and front cameras have the capability to capture images at 64MP and video modes including 4K recording.

The battery is 4045mAh and comes with a fast charging feature of OPPO VOOC 20W.  

With all these specifications and features the starting price for the Realme 3 Pro in India is Rs 13,999 and the higher 6GB/128GB model can be had for Rs 16,999. Carbon Gray, Nitro Blue, and Lighting Purple are the three colours in which the phone is being released. The sale starts on Flipkart from April 29 and early birds can look for a range of offers to reduce the final payout even less than these prices.
