Chinese phone maker Oppo has launched its premium flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X, in India on Thursday.

The last Oppo flagship was Find 7, which it launched in 2014. You may recall that the phone was first unveiled for the European market in Paris and while announcing the phone.

The much talked about feature of the Oppo Find X has been the popup front camera, basically to do away with the notch and to avail maximum real estate on the front screen. So, practically the entire 6.4-inch OLED display is available for the user to enjoy, whether it is while playing a game or watching a video.

Priced at Rs 59,990, the Oppo Find X will directly compete with Apple iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and Google Pixel XL. The smartphone will be available for pre-orders starting July 25 exclusively on Flipkart. From August 3, it will be available at offline retail stores.

Coming to the specs, the Find X comes with a 6.4-inch OLED HD+ display with resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. It run on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The Ram is 8GB of RAM with Android Oreo.

The Oppo Find X is backed by a 3,730mAh battery, which comes with Super VOOC charging technology, with which the company claims that the smartphone can charge from 0-100% in 35 minutes.

The camera section is also more than adequately equipped. The popup camera in the front has a huge 24MP sensor and the rear setup has 2 sensors 16MP+20MP to provide top experience in clicking pictures through a mobile phone.

The other notable feature of the new Oppo Find X will be that facial recognition is the only way to unlock the phone; not even a fingerprint sensor option has been included.

In the Oppo Find X, the smartphone maker has done away with the 3.5mm audio jack and it now comes with a Type C port.
