KT Rama Rao, minister for IT and municipal administration, Telangana, along with MP Kavita aid foundation for an IT Hub, ‘T-Hub Incubation Centre’ in Nizamabad on Wednesday. After seeing immense success in Hyderabad, this will be the second incubation centre of T-Hub and that too, in a tier 2 city. KTR has sanctioned Rs 50 crore to establish this IT Hub.

Various IT companies have signed MoUs with the government and will play a role at this hub in Nizamabad.

According to government officials, this IT hub in Nizamabad will create nearly 1000 jobs in the IT sector and 3000 jobs in affiliate sectors for the local youth.

KTR said that this hub is part of the Telangana government’s mission to make technology to common man and that companies that come up here would provide employment to the locals and provide assistance in the development of the areas.

Kavita has also said that this IT hub will have a special wing of Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), which will help students finishing school to secure jobs. Through TASK, the government will look to train youth who have completed ITI or diploma and engineering and help make them employable.

They also announced that a BPO called Rural Source will be set up at Sudhir Reddy Engineering College with 100 employees, which KTR will inaugurate on September 30.

In fact, KTR has been focusing on taking innovation into the hinterlands of the state. In February, while addressing a massive gathering consisting of technology and IT companies from across the globe, he appealed to the companies to look beyond metros and tier 1 cities and invest in tier 2, 3 towns.

KTR is also looking at developing Warangal as the next big tech hub after Hyderabad, on the lines of Bengaluru-Mysuru.
