With Apple’s annual September event for unveiling of the new iPhone models nearing, rumours and leaks are at their heights. The latest leaks coming out of a South Korean publication is about the iPhone XR 2019, particularly the battery. This is not unusual since Apple keeps most of the information on its upcoming devices under wraps, but some of the component manufacturers in China let out details. Based on one such leak, it is now being predicted that the iPhone XR 2019 will come fitted with a battery that will be at least 5% better in terms of its performance compared to the existing iPhone XR model.

The general rumours in the market are that Apple will stick to its pattern of releasing 3 iPhones this September; the iPhone XI, the iPhone XI Max and the iPhone XR 2019 (unless the company decides to call it something else). While the iPhone XI and XI Max will sport triple camera setups in the rear, the iPhone XR 2019 will have a dual camera setup.

The battery power in the iPhone XR 2019 is also expected to be bumped to 3110mAh from 2942mAh. The leak has even named the Chinese company Ameperx Technology Limited, which is making these batteries and they say the bulk production has already started. It also appears the mass production of the batteries for the other two higher end models are yet to begin. It is possible Apple is still working on giving the battery specs the final touches.

On the processor, the speculation is that the iPhone XR 2019 will come with the A13 chipset. It is being predicted that there won’t be many changes made in the overall design of the phone except to allow for the housing of the dual camera setup in the rear. The front will have a wide notch to accommodate the Face ID module.

This report even suggests that the iPhone XR 2019 model could be priced at Rs 71,990 (roughly $1036).
