It’s the Superstar’s birthday and fans are going ballistic over first day first show shows across Tamil Nadu.

Not only is it Rajinikanth’s movie release, it is also his 63rd birthday which has been celebrated with pujas and crackers everywhere.

While everyone has been going gaga over the star, Enna Da Rascala and Culture Machine came out with this video on Superstar, his birthday and the day before that.

What happens on the day before that?

The video spoken in a voice imitating Rajinikanth goes on to talk about a man who has done a lot for Tamils.

"In December falls my birthday. So much celebration, paal-abhiskum (puja with milk) , garlands, posters etc, what is the necessity for all this, I thought. What have I achieved? Born into a simple family, I did what I liked. This even you liked, and now you are celebrating it grandly. I am very happy... I sang, in every song I sang about the nation, our homes, about you, about Tamil, I sang. "

"I said that everyone should live together without bringing in caste distinctions..." says the voice in the video.

"Remember me on this day. You all remember December 12 as Rajinikanth's birthday, also do remember December 11" it says.

So much is being done to celebrate Thalaivar Rajinikanth’s birthday.

Maybe Tamils could do a little bit and remember the birthday of one of the state’s greatest heroes, Subramania Bharathi, one of the state's most influential leaders, a poet , journalist and a social reformer.
