After a Hyderabad court gave a clean chit to actor Shweta Basu Prasad on an alleged prostitution case, Telugu producers are reportedly flooding her with film offers.

A Bangalore Mirror report states that film-maker Dharma Teja is one of the directors who first approached Shweta with a project after she was acquitted. But the actor is yet to make any decisions regarding taking up any projects for now and wants to spend some time away from movies. Film-makers, it may seem, 'are keen on cashing in on the controversy surrounding the actress', states the report. Her last Telugu film was in 2012 titled Nuvvekaddunte Nenakkadunta.

Shweta was arrested on September 3 for an alleged prostitution case during a decoy operation by the Task Force in a star hotel in the city. She was taken into custody on charges of prostitution and later sent to rescue home "Prajwal", run by prominent social activist, Sunita Krishnan.

The actor however, said that she had gone to the hotel to attend a programme. Shweta's lawyer said in a statement that the court ordered to let her free without any charges as there was no substantial evidence to support the allegations against her. The actress told the court that she was not involved in any prostitution and her name was deliberately listed in the FIR by the police.

Swetha, who shot to fame and bagged a national award for best child artist for her performance in “makdee” in 2002 has also acted in Bengali, Tamil and Telugu films.
