Indiana Jones, is considered an icon and the movie series about the fictional archaeologist/professor  had quite a fan following when it was initially released in 1981. The character has books, TV series and video games to it's name but nothing was quite as popular as the four part movie series directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison ford.
