Amala Paul barred from acting in jewellery ads

South Indian actress Amala Paul has been barred by Ernakulum additional sessions court from acting in Jewelry advertisements following a complaint filed by the management of Millennium Gold Jewelers, Cochin.

As per reports, Amala had signed an agreement with the jwellery brand and took a remuneration of Rs. 30 lakh from the jewelry management. Now the petitioner has claimed that the actress had backed out from acting in the advertisements of the brand.

Legally she is not allowed to act in any other jewelry advertisements in the existing agreement period with Millennium Jewelry. Since Amala was reportedly planning to sign an agreement with some other jewelry in Kochi the Millennium jewelry management filed a petition against her.
