Visakhapatnam police seize 100 pirated CDs of 'Baahubali' in raids

The Visakhapatnam police arrested six people on Tuesday, for allegedly circulating pirated versions of Baahubali: The Conclusion.

According to reports, the police raided a CD rental/video shop, and arrested the owner, while seizing almost 100 copies of the newly released film.

Several CDs of other recently released movies were also taken into the police’s possession. 

The makers of the film, have already said that the public could send them any pirated links they find on the internet, to the email id - claim@blockxpiracy.com.

Last month, the trailer of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus was leaked online, just hours before its official launch.

The trailer of the film's Malayalam version was leaked on social media, much to the surprise of the makers.

Following the leak, the trailer of the film's Tamil, Hindi and Telugu versions were also officially released online.

Meanwhile, Baahubali: The Conclusion opened to packed cinema halls across the world on April 28, and the film managed to rake in Rs. 100 crore at the box office on the opening day itself.

Rajamouli and his core team had been working on the project for nearly five years, releasing the first part of the franchise, Baahubali: The Beginning, in July 2015. 

The film's cast includes Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tammannah, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj.

The music of the film is composed by MM Keeravani and the story was penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad.

The two films were made on a budget of roughly Rs. 250 crore.
