TTD to take feedback from devotees to improve services at Tirumala

The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) will now take feedback from pilgrims on the quality of services offered at the world's richest Hindu temple atop Tirumala.

TTD executive officer D Sambasiva Rao has urged all pilgrims to participate in the survey and narrate their experiences on the services provided, so TTD can improve on them.

“Pilgrims should also extend their valuable suggestions in the form of mail and phone-in program me. Everytime we improve there is more left for improvement. So please give your ideas," Times of India quoted Sambasiva Rao as saying.

The TTD is also considering increasing the number of rooms available for pilgrims, who come for special darshan and will give top priority to ordinary devotees even during auspicious occasions.

The TTD on Friday also released 26,043 Arjitha Seva tickets for the period January 1 to 30, 2016.

Tirupati was also affected by the depression that hit Chennai and Tamil Nadu as many streets in Tirumala were knee-deep in water last week and the TTD had closed down the second ghat road and the pedestrian pathways as a precautionary measure.

The TTD had also appealed to devotees not to bring children and elderly to the temple till the weather got better.
