Written by : TNM

The News Minute | October 11, 2014 | 12.02 pm ISTThe TDP unit of Telangana planned 'Bus yatra' to expose failures of TRS government and boost the morale of farmers across the newly formed state. TDP leader Yaraballi Dayakar Rao said "this is just a beginning". However, in a turn of events on Friday that left the TDP red-faced, three MLAs and an MLC from the party joined the TRS, and more may be on the cards.Party heavy weights in Hyderabad such as Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Teegala Krishna Reddy were first to join TRS. As the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections near, the TDP has suffered a major setback.Revanth Reddy of the TDP who was on the bus yatra in Adilabad on Friday however, said: "TDP in Telangana is not over. Party is not based on few leaders."TDP cadres did not appear to be in favour of Nara Lokesh, son of Seemandhra CM Chandrababu Naidu, leading the Telangana unit of the party. This may come in handy for the TRS to attract TDP cadres to its own party.Even as the TDP's bus tour is set to approach Warangal on Saturday, there were rumours that an MLA of the TDP from Warangal may cross over to the TRS.
