Pastor who promised women a place in heaven in return for sex, arrested

The News Minute | January 11, 2015 | 10:00 am ISTA pastor who allegedly exploited gullible women for the last eight years by promising them a place in heaven if they had sex with him was arrested following  a complaint lodged against him at Kothavalasa in Vizianagaram district on Friday.According to a report in The New Indian Express, the pastor identified as Doddi Dayasagar (37) had been running the Jewish Garden of Eden, a religious congregation for more than 8 years and had shifted from Vizag six years ago.Around 300 people were members of the society which largely consisted of women. Dayasagar told the police during interrogation, that he completed his postgraduation in anthropology but pretended to be a PhD holder to the members of the group. The police are also investigating the properties and unaccounted wealth of the pastor, who resides in a swanky four-storeyed building about 30 km from Visakhapatnam.Read the full story here.Tweet
