The body of Madhusudhan Rao, a software engineer from Andhra Pradesh who is one of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, arrived in his hometown Kavali on Thursday, April 24, making him the second victim from the state whose remains were brought back. The 42-year-old software engineer living in Bengaluru, was among 26 tourists killed in the terror attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam. His body arrived at Chennai airport on Wednesday night and was transported by road to Kavali.
Madhusushan’s parents Tirupal and Padmavathi were not informed about his death but were told that he was injured in the attack. He was the only son of the couple running a banana business in the town.
Madhusudhan had been living in Bengaluru for the past 12 years. He was on a trip to Kashmir with his wife Kamakshi, daughter, and son when the attack occurred.
He was one of two men from Andhra Pradesh who died in the attack. JS Chandramouli, a retired bank employee from Visakhapatnam, was the other victim.
CM Naidu had announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh each for the families of the two men from Andhra Pradesh.
