Naidu says capital location will not change; criticizes multiple attempts to "scuttle" his plan

The News Minute | December 14, 2014 | 7:55 am ISTAndhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday while addressing the farmers of Tulluru Mandal, made it clear that the location of the new proposed capital was not changing despite protests from various farmers refusing to give their land.According to a report in the Times of India, Naidu said that the capital city would be a subject of praise for many years to come and praised the farmers who voluntarily came forward to give their land.Criticizing the multiple attempts made to “scuttle” his plan, he added that there was no going back and the decision was final. He also added that the compensation package offered to the farmers was the best in the world.The address was met with a lot of applause and pro Naidu slogans.
