Andhra govt conducts survey to fathom changes in politics following Pawan Kalyan's entry

Written by : TNM
As per the Andhra government’s instructions, a special questionnaire containing nine questions has been framed, for a survey that is being conducted to determine changes to politics with the entry of Pawan Kalyan.

The state intelligence department has been directed to conduct the survey targeting 100 people across all age groups from each assembly constituency.

To keep the survey confidential, the Intelligence department is under cover.

The survey will cover every village and all communities in each village. Under a sub-inspector from Intelligence, around 10 constables are working for every assembly constituency, on the survey.

However, the public which is curious to know what the survey is for and whether such a government survey confirms Pawan Kalyan’s growing political clout, have been asking questions to the surveyors.

The survey started on November 23, and will end by November 29.

One of the sources in the Intelligence department told Deccan Chronicle that as per the results till Sunday, it has emerged that Pawan Kalyan has strong roots among Kapu, Balija and Vaddera communities but not in BC, SC/ST communities.

Though the full results are expected to come out on November 30, the results till Sunday show that Pawan Kalyan has stronger support in northern AP than in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
