Amit Shah to visit AP and Telangana as part of plan to expand BJP presence in the south

The News Minute | January 5, 2015 | 8:30 am ISTFollowing the extensive campaigning in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu as part of the BJP to expand its presence in the south, BJP president Amit Shah plans to visit Telangana and AP between January 7 and 9.According to a report in the Times of India, Shah plans to arrive in Hyderabad on January 7 and will chair a day-long session the next day to work out strategies to strengthen their foundation in the new state of Telangana.He will meet BJP office-bearers, district presidents, secretaries and legislators to seek suggestions from them. It is also expected that the online membership drive and the `Swacch Bharat' programme would be given a push during the coming festival season.Shah is scheduled to reach Vijayawada on January 8 evening following which he plans to chair an extended officer bearers meeting on January 9Tweet
