The state of Andhra Pradesh which is on a massive drive to draw investments and build a new capital, now has Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn as its brand ambassador.

The actor met with chief minister Chandrababu Naidu at the CM camp office in Vijayawada on Tuesday. His wife Kajol would reportedly be the co-promoter of the state.

The Times of India reported:

Going a step further, Devgn said he was keen to invest in developmental projects in the upcoming capital Amaravati. Naidu welcomed the actor's offer immediately.

Quoting sources, TOI also reported that Devgn showed interest in investing in theme parks, resorts, water-based parks and also expressed willingness to set up an entertainment, media and creative city project in Amaravati.

The Hindu quoted Devgn as saying:

I’ve been working in Hyderabad for the past 25 years and I’ve seen the city change and grow under his rule and the change was dramatic. With someone like him at the helm, this place and the surrounding areas are also ready for change. It’s good for him and good for the place also. There are some things we have spoken about. It’s too early to say anything about it now. I’ll talk about it in my next visit.
