Will it be a Deepavali without sparks for Ajith fans?

Ask any film buff in Tamil Nadu, and they’ll tell you that festivals like Deepavali and Pongal are the most enjoyable time of the year. With the biggest releases scheduled, the festivals provide film lovers an opportunity to watch their favourite stars on the silver screen.  But it’s not just releases, fans can also look forward to teasers and trailers of magnum opuses during Deepavali and Pongal.

But this year, may turn out to be a lacklustre Deepavali for Ajith fans. Reports from tinsel town suggest that there might be no special teaser or trailer release for Ajith’s upcoming film, tentatively referred to as “AK 57”.

While Thala Ajith fans continue to hope and wait for a last-minute announcement on a special teaser launch this Deepavali, sources say this is unlikely to happen.  

Ajith fans have in the past been treated to festival releases, with “Vedalam” released for Deepavali in 2015 and “Veeram” released for Pongal 2014.

“Thala 57” also known as “AK 57”, is directed by Siva, and stars Kajal Agarwal in the female lead and Akshara Haasan in an important role. The film also has music by Anirudh.
