The upcoming Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight has fans waiting eagerly for Eid, when the film will be released. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film has several big names on board, including Salman’s brother Sohail Khan.

And if you look at the trailer carefully, you'd also see a young boy who runs with Salman in one of the scenes.

That's child actor Matin Rey Tangu. The 8-year-old hails from Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh and on Monday evening, he shared the stage with Salman at a press meet. Not only was he adorable, but also owned a racist question, posed to him by one of the reporters at the event.

The reporter asked him if this was the first time he had come to India. Clearly confused, the young boy is seen asking her what the question is. After Salman Khan repeats the question to him, Matin gives a real cheeky response, and an apt one too!

Watch the video here:

"If I already live in India, how can I be visiting it?!" Matin responded. What a way to shut down an apparently racist question, right?

The reporter's question is a manifestation of our ignorance about the north-east Indian states as well as the stereotypes people from there are often subjected to. According to an Indian Express report, Matin's answer could also have been a result of some miscommunication.

The journalist, after initially asking the question, was corrected by another one who told her that Matin was from Arunachal Pradesh. Thereafter, she asked if it was Matin's first time in Mumbai. However, Salman Khan repeated the older question to Matin, about whether this was his first time in India, prompting him to give the reply that he did.

Tubelight also stars Chinese actor Zhu Zhu, and will mark her Bollywood debut. The Kabir Khan directorial is set to release on Friday.
