Bana Alabed is a seven-year-old.
Bana likes Harry Potter, believes in the tooth fairy and is a Manchester United fan.
And yet she is unlike most children of her age around the world.
Bana lives with her family in the war-torn region of East Aleppo in Syria.
And for them, living in the city which is under the control of rebel forces is a constant struggle.
In her short life, Bana has seen horrific things happening around her- from her friend being killed to her school being destroyed in the regular bombings.
With the help of her mother Fatemah, who is a teacher, Bana regularly shares photographs and videos of her life in Syria.

Some of her tweets can be quite disturbing visually, like the severed hand of a child. But they just go on to show the horrors that wars cause.
