The Prithviraj starrer Detroit Crossing is a film that is about gang wars involving Tamilians the US. Directed by Nirmal Sachdev, the film has Prithviraj playing the lead role. Earlier, it was reported that Mamta Mohandas would be playing the female lead in the movie but now she has been replaced by Isha Talwar.

Confirming the news, director Nirmal Sachdev said that the film’s schedule was postponed following certain technical issues and Mamta had to opt out because she did not have fresh dates to allocate for the project.

In fact, Mamta has reportedly joined the sets of the Fahadh Faasil starrer Carbon recently and has a slew of films in her kitty. The director has been quoted by the Times of India as saying, “Our movie got pushed a bit and the dates clashed with that of the movie Carbon for Mamta. She had to opt out and Isha Talwar is on board, instead. We have started shoot and she is doing a great job!”

Elated over bagging the role, Isha Talwar said that she is so excited to share screen space with Prithviraj and is happy to work with Nirmal Sachdev. She has been quoted as saying, “Everything happened quickly. When I got a call from Nirmal last month, I thought someone is pranking me. Then Prithviraj texted me and again I thought it's a spam message. It took a while to realise that this is a genuine offer.”

Being cautious about revealing her role, Isha said that all she could divulge now is that she has a meaty role to play in Detroit Crossing and that she plays the mother of a child. The film’s shooting is currently on and it is expected to hit the marquee in 2018.
