Kannada movie Kidi is all set for release next month.

The first print of the movie is ready and the filmmakers are trying to fix a suitable date for its release sometime in August.

Kidi delves into an important issue that needs to be addressed immediately, according to director Raghu.

The film’s central idea is ‘fit of rage’ and how the youth react to certain situations without knowing the consequences.

The shooting has been wrapped up with the team filming in various locations including Bengaluru, Chikmangalur, Pukhet and Agumbe for well over 50 days, say sources. Directed by S Raghu, a well known choreographer, Kidi marks his directorial debut. Bhuvan Chandra, who was seen in a couple of films like Sirivantha and Shravana as the second hero, will be playing the main lead in Kidi and pairing up with him on screen will be debutant Pallavi.

Ugram Manju, Manamohan Rai, Bank Janardhan and Danny Kuttappa play pivotal roles in the film. Produced by T Nagaraj, the film has music by Farhan Roshan. Benaka Raju has cranked the camera for this venture with Vishwa taking care of it at the editing table.

Kidi is the remake of the Malayalam movie Kali that had Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi playing the lead pair.

It was directed by Sameer Thahir who had also co-produced it along with Ashiq Usman and Shyju Khalid under the banner Hand Made Pictures. Released in March last year, the film collected Rs. 26.4 crores at the box office. Speaking about his debut as hero, Bhuvan Chandra said that he had watched more than 250 films and heard several scripts before finalising on the Kali remake. He is happy with the way the film has shaped up and hopes to seal his place as a hero in the Kannada film industry with Kidi.
