After the arrests of Rahul Pasupalan and Reshmi Nair, Kiss of Love organisers, in an alleged sex racket case, Joshi alias Achayan, who was named as the chief accused surrendered before the investigating officer.
Following a massive manhunt for him, the Kochi native surrendered on Monday. The sex racket has seen the arrest of a dozen accused until now, including Rahul Pasupalan and Reshmi Nair.

In a parallel investigation, the crime branch police had also arrested six people for running a pedophile page on Facebook called ‘Kochu Sundarikal’.

Sources in the investigating team told The News Minute that Joshi was one of the links between the online sex racket and the pedophile Facebook page called ‘Kochu Sundarikal'.

"When we visited the Facebook page and the Locanto website, we saw that there were some common numbers on both the places. Joshi was one of the numbers. He was also making vulgar comments on the Facebook page. Vicious comments against minors," the source told TNM.

According to a report in Mathrubhumi, the police got the information regarding Joshi from the statement given by one of the arrested, and learnt that it was Joshi who brought minor girls from Bangalore.

The report also adds that Joshi is accused in several cases including the Paravur sex racket case.

A report in Manorama adds that the police found that he was the main organiser of the online sex racket and that he had been involved in similar cases in all districts of the state for the past 10 years. Authorities are also investigating whether he trafficked people outside the nation.

Speaking to the media on Monday as he was produced before the Thiruvananthapuram Principal Sessions court, KOL organiser Rahul Pasupalan had said “We have no connection with this. I have been trapped in this case by those in power.”
