Rumours are rife that the upcoming Kannada mythological film Kurukshetra will be a double bonanza for Darshan fans, as the actor is reportedly set to play both Karna and Duryodhana in the film.

Earlier, the buzz was that Ambareesh was in talks to play Karna in the film. But it now looks like Darshan will be taking up both the roles.

Naganna, the director of the film, is busy with the groundwork for the project, which will go on the floors in July this year. Touted to be a big budget project, Kurukshetra will be bankrolled by noted politician and producer Munirathna. And it is also being said that Darshan will set the record for the highest pay packet in Sandalwood, as he is set to earn a whopping Rs 10 crore for the film.

Apart from Darshan, the film will also feature V Ravichandran and Srinivas Murthy in important roles. According to sources, Ravichandran could be playing the role of Lord Krishna in the movie. With director Naganna busy with the pre-production work, we can expect details about the cast and crew in a few weeks’ time, say sources.
Darshan’s fans are particularly eager for this film as it will be the 50th film of the actor who made his debut with the film Mahabharatha back in 1997.

While Darshan’s last outing at the box office, Chakravarthy did well at the box office, expectations have already been building over his next, Tarak. And with each new detail about Kurukshetra emerging, the excitement is only growing.
