Someone needs to call a plumber. Simbu’s had another leak. Leak of an audio clipping of course.

Wonder who had the idea, time and energy to ‘leak’ the ‘Beep Song’ of a sexist song allegedly performed by Kollywood actor Simbu and composed by music director Anirudh. (Anirudh has denied that he had anything to do with the song).

The controversial song, which is about break-up of a relationship and has many cuss words incorporated in it, was leaked on YouTube on December 11. The song went viral on social media, offending fans of both artists.

Now, Simbu and gang (as in friends, etc. not goons) have a highly complex (read garbled) explanation for this: it is incomplete, it was leaked, and the leak is an attempt to sabotage the reputations of the two, it was a private recording.

Take that, all you outraging feminists. You don’t understand the troubles of a celeb who needs privacy to vent his true feelings.

On cue, someone close to the two celebrities says claims that the song was recorded at a private jamming session with Anirudh and Simbu, and was ‘unintentionally’ shared by another person to his network.

According to IndiaGlitz, the person said on Twitter: “First of all the song was done for friends amongst friends and it was not for public audience. Some over enthusiastic friend who got this song shared it amongst his network & it got sped [sic] virally.”

While the truth in this particular case remains hazy, this much is clear: Leaks follow Simbu like the plague.

As for the sabotage theory, it was put out by the Simbu’s advocate C Rajashekaran, who released a statement.

So at first, just to make things clear, the lawyer said: “The song which is going viral on YouTube & WhatsApp is not the official version, moreover the lyrics seems to be misunderstood as my clients, actor Simbu & music director Anirudh are shocked. My clients strongly feel it might have been motivated leak by some unknown persons with malafide intentions & ulterior motives to tarnish the image & cause reputation damage.”

Tut-tut… Whether the song has been completed or not, one wonders what to make of this line ‘F*** her and leave her’.

(Whatever you think of Yo Yo Honey Singh, the guy’s at least open about what he thinks.)

We know what the All India Democratic Women’s Association thinks about the song. The group’s Coimbatore unit’s lodged a complaint with the police. Now Simbu and his partner in leaked-musical-sexism have been booked by the Race Course Police for indecent representation of women, that IPC section that takes Victorian umbrage at the outraging of women’s modesty, and the more modern penal law, the publication of obscene content in electronic form.

The lawyer continued: “I have been instructed by my clients actor Simbu to verify the authenticity of the song & proceed in a legal manner within the purview of law, further more actor Simbu is a music lover & he has made several songs which are still in the scratch rough version for his own listening, which is 100% private & nobody has the right to infringe into his privacy.”

Where’s that plumber’s number? High time the leak goes.
