After a lot of expectations about ‘Mega Star’ Chiranjeevi’s 151st film, its title and motion poster were released on the occasion of his birthday August 22.

Unfortunately, the title of the film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy did not go too well with the Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy clan as they demanded that the film should have been titled after the late freedom fighter, as it is based on his life.

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is touted to be a biopic of the late freedom fighter who had fought the British much before the Sepoy Mutiny in 1857 and was hanged. It will have Chiranjeevi playing the lead role.

While the shooting of the movie will begin next month, the title and motion poster were revealed recently, which had raked up the controversy.

Sources in Tollywood say that members of the Uyyalawada clan plan to meet the makers of the film to put forth their demand and concerns over the title.

Reports suggest that the team chose the title for its pan-India appeal as there are plans to release it in various Indian languages.

It may be noted here that while Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role in the film, it is being produced by his son and actor Ram Charan under their home banner Konidela Production Company.

Helming the affairs of the film will be director Surender Reddy, while the star cast also includes Amitabh Bachchan, Nayanthara, Jagapati Babu, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Nassar, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, Ravi Kishan, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao and Jayaprakash.

The Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman will be scoring the music for this venture with Ravi Varnam cranking the camera and Rajeevan working heading the art department.
