The infamous Chandrabose murder case convict Muhammed Nisham allegedly threatened his employees over phone from Kannur central jail in Kerala, said his brother in a police complaint made on Saturday.

Nisham’s brother -Abdul Razak- filed a written complaint with the Thrissur police alleging that Nisham had threatened a few workers at the Kings Beedi company owned by Nisham and Razak over phone.

According to the complainant, such acts by Nisham had only managed to create a host of problems for the business. In the complaint, Razak speaks about visiting Nisham in jail, where the latter threatened to have his hands and legs chopped.

Nisham had also claimed to be a close acquaintance of the accused in the TP murder case whom he met inside the jail. “He threatened that with their help, he would kill me and another one of our brothers -Abdul Nisar,” Razak says in his complaint.

It was also mentioned in the complaint that Nisham was living a life of luxury in the 10th ward of the Central Jail, by bribing the police officers concerned.

Razak goes on to accuse Nisham of wanting to spend all the money got from their business to fight the case.

He and his family now live under constant fear of being killed, he adds.

Nisham is undergoing life-imprisonment for the murder of Chandrabose, a security guard of Sobha City Apartments in Thrissur on 29 January, 2015.

Meanwhile state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has in a Facebook post said that he had directed the jail superintendent to take immediate remedial measures to ensure that Nisham did not benefit from any undue favours during his jail tenure.
