A day after the police department barred archaeological experts from entering a construction site in Chelapura, officials of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the South Zone police inspected the area and discovered artifacts reportedly belonging to the medieval period.On April 13, officials from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Department of Archaeology and Museums (DAM) were blocked by the police when they tried to examine an old structure found by construction-workers near the Charminar According to a report in the Times of India , a copper coin and porcelain containers were reportedly found during the course of the site inspection.
