An internal probe ordered by The Energy and Research Institute (TERI) has found RK Pachauri, its director general, guilty of sexual harassment.Reports suggest that a three-member panel was formed by TERI to look into allegations of sexual harassment, and the panel has found that Pachauri attempted to form a personal relationship with a female employee of TERI at least thrice. Ther panel submitted a 32-page report in which it said that the woman also faced a backlash at work for spurning off Pachauri and recommended that disciplinary action ve taken against him. A police case was filed earlier by the woman, and RK Pachauri is out on bail. His bail has also been challenged by the woman in the Delhi High Court. Folowing the allegations, Pachauri had stepped down from as chairperson of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and took leave from TERI. He has however denied all the allegations. Citing several SMS texts, e-mails and WhatsApp messages as evidence, the woman accused Pachauri of sexually harassing her soon after she joined TERI in September 2013 and filed a complaint this February.
