Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet party workers later on Monday after he returned to the country on Sunday following his nearly two-week holiday.
The second most important leader of the country’s oldest surviving political entity had gone for his publically announced trip on December 28 last year. He had then tweeted, "I will be travelling to Europe for a few days. A very Happy New Year to everyone.”
Gandhi had been previously criticized by political observers and opponents for the time he spends outside the country. The last being the almost two-month long disappearance post the Delhi elections in February 2015 when the Congress failed to win even a single seat out of the total 70.
