Earlier this month, Sharma had alleged that the guards at the club had misbehaved with him, following which his driver filed an FIR against the guards. However, soon several other versions cropped up which alleged that it was Sharma's retinue that manhandled the guards. Sharma was recently suspended from the club for a month pending enquiry. In a letter to Bangalore Club, Sharma asks whether the Club can sell liquor outside the area permitted by the excise department.
