Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Thursday refreshed the Redmi Note line-up in India with the launch of Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 7 in the affordable segment.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LTPS display and the screen ratio is 19:5:9 with a waterdrop notch design. It is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone comes with features such as Sunlight Display and reading mode to adjust the brightness and contrast of the screen. It also features face unlock.

On the camera side, the Redmi Note 7 Pro features a 48MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera and a 13MP front camera. The camera packs a Sony IMX586 sensor, which is said to deliver great low-light images. It also supports capturing videos in 4K.

 It runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie and packs a 4000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4. 

The Redmi Note 7 Pro will be available for Rs 13,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant starting on March 13 via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores, Xiaomi said.

The a 6.3-inch LCD display Redmi Note 7 comes in 3 GB RAM 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM 64GB internal memory variants. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The screen ratio and design is the same as the Pro. This smartphone is also protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

Speaking of camera, the Note 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup of 12MP + 2MP. On the front, it sports a 13MP sensor and also supports AI portrait selfie, along with the face unlock feature.

The Redmi Note 7 too, comes with a 4000 mAh battery and supports Quick Charge 4.0.

Redmi Note 7 will be available on the same platforms for Rs 9,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs 11,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant starting March 6, it added. 

Xiaomi, which grabbed the highest share in the India smartphone market in 2018 with its low-cost phones, debuted the Redmi Note line-up in India in 2014.

"The Redmi Note 7 series is a remarkable addition to our Redmi Note line," said Manu Jain, Managing Director, Xiaomi India.
