Expanding its presence in the display devices segment, Chinese technology major Xiaomi launching in its home market, two large screen monitors, 34 inches and 23.8 inches in size. These are positioned as gaming monitors and sport some decent specifications.

Typically, gaming enthusiasts and video game parlours prefer to attach a large screen monitor to their PCs. It enhances the gaming experience. There are two-player games where the wider screen is useful.

The two monitors now launched by Xiaomi are Mi Surface Display and Mi Display. The Mi Surface Display sports a 34-inch curved screen having an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a screen resolution of 3440x1440 pixels. The features of this monitor include a 144Hz refresh rate and a 121% sRGB colour gamut. The monitor suppors AMD FreeSync as well. There is stand with a magnetic stand that enables the screen to be rotated. The bezels all round are thin increasing the area available for display. Xiaomi offers a 3-year warranty on this monitor.

The other monitor is the 23.8-inch Mi Display monitor with lower specs. This monitor has a screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and offers a viewing angle of 178°.

Xiaomi has priced the Mi Surface Display at CNY2,499 (approximately Rs 25,200), Xiaomi is offering a warranty of up to three years. There’s also a special offer of 1,999 CNY (approximately Rs 20,100) for buyers who pre-order the monitor. Xiaomi is offering a CNY500 off to those who pre-order this monitor. Sale starts October 21.

The other Mi Display 23.8inch monitor is priced at CNY699 (approximately Rs 7,000).

 Xiaomi has announced the launch of these two monitors for sale in the Chinese market from October 21. There is no information on when the company plans to take it to the other international markets, including India.
