Ever since director Mahi V Raghav made an announcement that he will be directing a biopic on the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, it has created a lot of speculations on who would play the role. And now actor Suriya has said that he is interested in playing Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He said in an interview, “I would love to play Jagan Anna in his biopic if the makers come with a good script.” It now needs to be seen if Mahi V Raghav and Suriya would collaborate to make a biopic on Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Incidentally, Mahi V Raghav had directed the biopic on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s father and the late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekar Reddy. The Malayalam mega star Mammootty played YSR onscreen and it had a bevy of stars in the cast including Jagapathi Babu, who played YSR's father YS Raja Reddy, Rao Ramesh as KVP Ramachandra Rao, who was YSR's closest friend from his medical college days and Suhasini Mani Ratnam as the former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy. It also has Anasuya Bharadwaj, Posani Krishna Murali, Vinod Kumar and Sachin Khedekar in supporting roles. The film is produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner 70 MM Pictures and its technical crew includes K for music, Sathyan Sooryan for cinematography and A Sreekar Prasad for editing.

Suriya is currently awaiting the release of the Selvaraghavan directorial NGK. Sai Pallavi is sharing the screen space with Suriya in this flick. The other film in Suriya’s kitty right now is Kaappan. Directed by KV Anand, the film has Suriya playing the lead role. On Suriya’s role in Kaappaan, we hear that he will be seen as the bodyguard for Mohanlal and Arya. Harris Jayaraj is the music composer for this flick with Abhinandan Ramanujam roped in as the cinematographer and editing is done by Anthony.
