The News Minute | September 19, 2014 | 11.48 am ISTCID officials have begun questioning the woman who has alleged that the seer of Ramachandrapura Mutt Raghaveshwara Bharati had sexually abused and harassed her.The woman, a resident of Bangalore, was a singer at the Ramachandrapura Mutt in Hosanagar in Shimoga district. She had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the seer had sexually abused her. CID officers went to her house in Bangalore around 6 pm on Thursday and questioned her until around 1 am on Friday. Police reportedly took possession of clothes and other material from her house as a part of their investigation. She may be questioned further on Friday.Raghaveshwara Bharati faces a case of rape filed against him with the Bangalore police. He however, had contended that he had been blackmailed and had been receiving threatening calls from people. Addressing his devotees, he had said: “Do what you have to do, but remember that those who come to arrest me would have been in that department for 10-20 years, but this peetha has a history of a thousand years.” He made more remarks along similar lines.
