Wishes poured in from all quarters after Tollywood actor Sai Dharam Tej, the nephew of megastar Chiranjeevi, met with a road accident in Hyderabad on the evening of Friday, September 10. Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, announced in its statement issued on Saturday that the actor is in a stable condition and will be monitored while he stays on assisted respiration in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). “Mr. Sai Dharam Tej is very stable and all major organs are functioning well. He will continue to be on assisted respiration in ICU for controlled close monitoring and additional investigations will be performed during the day. The next medical update will be shared tomorrow,” the medical bulletin read.
Many members from the Telugu film fraternity took to social media to extend their support and wish the actor a speedy recovery. Popular Tollywood actor Jr NTR wrote: “Wishing you a speedy recovery brother @IamSaiDharamTej.”
Director Deva Katta, who is helming Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming film Republic, tweeted, “My darling brother @IamSaiDharamTejis recovering well and will be up and kicking soon!”
Conveying that he is glad to know Sai Dharam Tej is out of danger, actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas wished for his speedy recovery.
Politicians, too, prayed for Sai Dharam Tej’s recovery. “Praying for the speedy and complete recovery of Telugu actor Shri @IamSaiDharamTej, who met with an accident in Hyderabad yesterday. Get well soon,” V Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs & Parliamentary Affairs tweeted.
The actor’s fans, too, have been posting photos and praying for his safe recovery. Many have been using the hashtag #GetwellSoonSaiDharamTej to extend their wishes and support.

After Sai Dharam Tej’s accident, his family members as well as friends were seen visiting him at the hospital. A video of actor Ram Charan and his wife, entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni visiting the hospital, is doing the rounds on social media. Sai Dharam Tej’s friend, actor Sundeep Kishan, too, was reportedly spotted while he was heading to Apollo, Jubilee Hills.
Other family members and friends, including producer Allu Aravind, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, actor Vaisshnav Tej, Niharika, and director Trivikram have reached Apollo Hospital and enquired about Sai Tej's health.
Meanwhile, megastar Chiranjeevi took to Twitter on September 10 to share that actor Sai Tej, who suffered minor injuries and bruises, is recuperating well. “@IamSaiDharamTej met with an accident few hours ago & has suffered minor injuries & bruises. Wish to share with All Fans & Well Wishers that There is absolutely NO cause for Concern or Anxiety. He is recovering under expert medical supervision & shall be back in a couple of days,” Chiranjeevi tweeted, and shared the medical statement issued by Apollo Hospitals earlier.
Sai Dharam Tej, was initially admitted to Medicare Hospital, but was later shifted to Apollo, Jubilee Hills for treatment. The medical bulletin issued by the hospital on Friday mentioned that the actor has no major injuries to the brain, spine or vital organs. However, he has sustained soft tissue injuries and a collar bone fracture.
Sharing further details, producer Sreenivasa Kumar also tweeted a video of an inspector sharing details of how the accident took place. “Sai Dharam Tej’s bike skid due to mud on the road. He is out of danger and is currently receiving treatment,” police are seen saying in the video.
