A 46-page letter has Kerala on tenterhooks, a letter that contains explosive allegations against politicians, MLAs and a Member of Parliament, including details of sexual acts. But, who wrote this letter?News channels in Kerala broke the story saying the letter was written by Saritha Nair, the main accused in the solar scam. Saritha Nair and her live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan are accused of cheating many investors promising to supply them with solar panels worth millions of rupees.Saritha was arrested in June 2013 and came out on bail in March 2014.The letter that Saritha purportedly wrote while she was in jail makes serious allegations against politicians including Member of Parliament Jose K Mani. Paragraphs from the letter that alleges that Mani persuaded Saritha Nair into sexual acts in a bathroom in a Delhi office has been made public by the media. Bits and pieces from the letter, that make sexually loaded allegations, has ensured that Saritha hogs all the top headlines. Politicians, and even a top actor's name has been leaked. First twistThe first twist to the tale came when Saritha denied it was her letter. Saritha told the media repeatedly through phone interviews and press meets that the leaked letter was not hers. She blamed Malayalam news channel Reporter TV of twisting her words.Second twistDenying Saritha’s allegations, Reporter TV released an audio conversation between the channel’s CEO Nikesh Kumar and Saritha Nair on April 2, in which the latter is heard asking whether the portion is about ‘Jose K Mani.’ She then agrees to come for an interview on the channel.Third twistOn Tuesday, Saritha Nair addressed a press meet, waving a letter, claiming that was her original letter. But when cameras zoomed in, it showed that Saritha’s original letter too had a paragraph clearly saying ‘Jose K Mani’ , “met him @ Delhi, forced me to do sex“.Fourth TwistSaritha Nair told reporters that Jose K Mani had not sexually abused her and was not on her ‘lucky list’ of politicians. She claimed mysteriously that her original letter does have names of many politicians. Her open ended remark has lead to much speculation about who these politicians are. Jose K ManiMany politicians and media houses are busy leaking names and juicy lurid details, depending on what suits their interests, and it looks the leaks are not going to stop for a while.Like CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran noted, Kerala politics has become like an adult movie.
