The mega star of Tollywood, Chiranjeevi made a strong comeback with Khaidi No: 150 last year and is now busy with the biopic on the legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. A lot of research is going into the project that is titled Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, with director Surendar Reddy working round the clock to ensure that it does complete justice to the unsung hero who fought the British much before the Sepoy Mutiny.

While Chiranjeevi plays the lead role, the film will feature a bevy of stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Kiccha Sudeep, Nayanthara and Tammannah, in pivotal roles. The film is being bankrolled by Ram Charan Teja under the banner Konidela Production Company on a budget of Rs 150 crore.

While the film is taking shape steadily and the makers are aiming for a release later this year or early next, reports about Chiranjeevi’s next have cropped up. According to sources in the know, ace filmmaker Koratala Siva is in talks to direct the star. Apparently, the director’s initial plan was do a film with Chiru’s son Ram Charan but it had to be postponed with the latter being busy with the Boyapati Srinu directorial, after which he will be moving on to SS Rajamouli’s RRR in which he will be sharing screen space with Jr NTR.

Reports indicate that Ram Charan will be bankrolling Chiru’s film with Koratala Siva under this banner Konidela Production Company in association with Niranjan Reddy of Matinee Entertainments. While no other details about the star cast and crew have been revealed so far, reports from tinsel town suggest that it will go on the floors from January next year. To know more about the film, an official announcement is awaited.
