The first look motion poster of Ajith’s upcoming film with director Siva, Viswasam, was released on Sunday. The 0.46-second motion poster is an extension of the posters that have been released so far.

A younger version of Ajith, wearing a red shirt and shades, is seen as the centre of celebrations. The clip ends with the older version of Ajith bashing a man’s head through a door.

Ajith’s name is revealed to be Thooku Durai in this motion poster. The makers are steadily building up the film’s expectation among Ajith fans. Will he be playing a dual role or will this film follow a period of time in his life? We’ll have to wait for more details on that.

While Ajith awaits the release of this film that has been scheduled to hit screens this Pongal, speculation is rife that the actor would reprise Amitabh Bachchan’s role from 2016 Hindi courtroom drama, Pink in his next. According to a Times of India report, the Hindi film’s creative producer, Shoojit Sicar, has confirmed that the film is being remade in Tamil.

It was earlier reported that director H Vinoth, who made a splash with the Karthi starrer Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, is likely to team up with Ajith next. It remains to be seen if this remake will be their next together. More details on the remake are awaited.

The film’s first look poster was released in August this year. It featured Ajith in dual avatars – in salt-and-pepper and fully dyed black look. Both the looks feature Ajith twirling his mustache.

Viswasam will be his fourth consecutive film with director Siva after Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the project was officially launched last December and actor Nayanthara will be seen playing the female lead. This movie will reunite Nayanthara and Ajith after a gap of five years.

In a first time collaboration, D Imman has been finalised to compose music. Yogi Babu, Vivek, Kovai Sarla and Thambi Ramaiah form the rest of the film’s cast.
