The video from Edgbaston has been widely shared on social media.

The video also comes amid news of Pakistan and Afghanistan fans involved in minor clashes outside the stadium after the game between the two teams at Leeds on Saturday.

According to police officials in Leeds, fans who were without a ticket and cheering for the team from outside the stadium turned on each other and started vandalising stadium property. The instigators have been booked by the Yorkshire police and banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the rest of the matches.

The fight started after a Afghan fan accidentally brushed past an old person who was a Pakistani supporter. In return, Pakistani fans who were at the spot started beating up Afghan fans which incited the supporters further and led to a critical law and order situation.

The ICC said in a statement that it was "aware of some scuffles among a minority of the fans" and that it was "currently working with the venue security team and the local police force, West Yorkshire Police, to ensure there were no further incidents."

Pakistan, with nine points from as eight games, need to win their remaining game against  Bangladesh in order to make it to the semifinals if at all. They would also require the results of matches of other teams to go in their favour if they have to enter the knockout stage including Sunday’s India and England clash.
